Hi GSkill moderators.
I'm in the process of building and purchasing components for a mATX X99 system.
My question is - can i use the new Trident Z and Ripjaws V DIMMS with the X99 platform ?
I know these are marketed as "Dual Channel Kits for Z170". From what I understand there is no such thing as dual channel / quad channel memory, just the number of DIMMS in the set you purchase and the memory controller (dual/quad) is dependant on the CPU you are using.
Those new Trident Z kits look just amazing so hopefully they will work in my ASRock Fatal1ty X99M KILLER/3.1 Motherboard ! I'll make sure I get a kit that's within the MB's rated speed capacity.
Any advice/guidance is appreciated Thank you
