  • F4-2800C15Q2-128GRKD with X99Deluxe

Well hello to everyone. I couldn't wait and today I did pull the trigger on this memory kit. Push come to show if this kit won't be able to work with my CPU, then I will try and split the kit in half and install one 4 modules to see if I be able to get better results, and if I do then what I do sell the other 4 modules. But if everything comes to my favor then I will have the biggest RAMdrive so I can run anything that I want from there

Well it's a go, it looks like that I'm going to have a busy weekend, cause it looks like friday is the day that I'm going to get my kit above, so I'm going to test my skills, if not able to get them to boot or recognize, I will be seeking help here cause on GSKILL main page on the configurator page it shows al ASUS X99 MB compatible with this kit so including this one. So there I leave it and see how well experience I will encounter with this kit.

You should contact ASUS to see if you have the best BIOS for that memory kit. There may be an updated one that can perform better.

Not worries in the area my bios version as of right now is 1801. What I meant before was if I see on Gskill's web site under this memory kit specs the QVL list of MB and see my board model I assume Gskill have test this ram kit with such board, in this case the X99 Deluxe, so if all that is yes I assume also ASUS have got a bios for such memory kit, M'I right or wrong, ok until then lets keep the BALL in the middle of the court.

Well Well Well about that guys, plug and Play memory kit with my MB and CPU so far just the XMP, set the switch in MB to XMP the light came on boot to bios set the XMP option on bios boot to Windows and wala (128GB @ 2800Mhz). no if, no but, no my P hurts guys help me. its a joke just kidding guys. Now what I got left to do is to overclock to my 24/7 OC and see how she goes and behave. But first I need to change boot drive cause the M.2 that I,m using don't like any other BCLK other than 100Mhz, I need to pull the big guns the NVMe 750 PCI-e, like or not I have to use this boot drive. So, so far so good guys and GSkill Tech not worries guy they all are working perfect so far I need to do some RAM test and see how they @.

One thing I notice is the booting process it extend a little, don't know why but maybe cause I have all in AUTO and I might have to tune in the VCCSA a little, cause in auto=1.157V and that's to high for me I going to bring it down to at less 1.10 or 1.120

Well so far after also a week of playing with this memory kit I have found out as follow:

The Kit runs fine with XMP settings @ 2800 but at less with my MB don't like to change anything. And I love to have the control of it, at less thats what she said last night, that been said.

In return I gave it a whirl at 2666 cause I don't like the 127.3 strap bull, beside you can use adaptive anyways, but yes gave it a 2666 whirl a try and there you have it , it happens but not like I want to have it, but yes the benchmarks results were impressive in compare to the 2800 settings. But since I begging having problem on the stability side I decide to go down to 2400 and start from scratch with my OC and there I have it, my settings for a 4.5Ghz CPU@1.270V, Uncore@1.260V, VCCSA@0.950V, PLL@ level-8 VRM-V@1.870V, memory@1.208V and she ran AIDA64 for 1Hr and RealBench also for a Hr. So I'm happy with that, next step is to get it stable at 2666Mhz. The 1T command rate on any frequency its not going to happen, unless I need to try by pulling out 4 modules and try the (4X16) 64GB way then maybe I could use the 1T command rate, but thats for later, I'm focus on get them stable at 2666 to start using (ADAPTIVE) voltage. This strap concept is taking everyone by, don't know anyways, until then guys.
