  • OCZ Firmware on G.Skill Drives?

Hi first time poster long time reader here, I recently bought a g.skill falcon 64 drive. Mostly I have been very happy with it but lately I have noticed that its starting to slow down some. I recently read of some new firmware coming out of OCZ that has some idle garbage collection commands built into their new firmware. With reports stating that the drive was "like new" after a couple of hours of idle time with the new firmware. I was wondering if anyone has tried and seceded flashing our g.skill drives with one from OCZ, from what I understand they use the same controller so I was wondering if it was possible. Or baring that does anyone know of g.skill is going to release a firmware with these commands built into it in the near future?
    Thanks,
    Prax

After what I've read about this, it sounds totally worth it to me!
