Motherboard: Asus ROG Rampage Formula IV (Bios 4004)
CPU – Intel i7-3930k C2 rev – stepping 7
Memory: [TridentX] F3-2400C10D-16GTX (looks to be single sided with a 500 in the middle of the serial)
Custom waterloop with 140mm fan over ram and VRM areas.
Bios Settings:
CPU: 100 strap , 44x multi, 1.23v vcore LLC – Medium 20uf
VDimm – 1.66v (gives 1.65v measure)
VCCSA : 1.19v (would like under 1.1)
VCCIO – 1.10v
CPU PLL – tried 1.65v and 1.9v
DRAM Current Capability – 120% Phase Control - Optimal
MemTweak Screen Attached.
Problem : I am having trouble with the settings in Bios for this one. Generally it seems to be working at the prescribed timings of 10-12-12-31-2t and 10-12-12-31-1t. BUT. The tRFC (DRAM REF cycle time) is very high @ 347! I cannot seem to get any stability at any level below this. I have been led to believe that this should be below 200???
Generally, any change from the setting above results in a debug code 6f or 01 followed by 6f.
Main reason I am being **** about this is I do a lot of 3d rendering/video rendering and thought making a move from 1866-9-9-9-24 ram to this would have made at least a small improvement but it has had the negative effect.
Is there any settings I may need to change to bring the tRFC down as this seems to be severely inhibiting the bandwidth.
Is there anything else that may help with stability/performance.
Your help is very appreciated.
