  • Falcon 64GB disappears from BIOS

    Hi,

I recently bought a Falcon 64G drive, and after running for a while (less than 24h), it stops responding, and on reset/reboot it is not detected by the BIOS. A power cycle brings it back.

This problem started appearing about 2 weeks after the computer was built with the new drive.

    Drive: FM-25S2S-64GBF1 R (firmware 1571)
Mobo: Asus P5Q-EM at default settings (not AHCI, not RAID)
CPU: Intel Q9550 at stock settings
OS: Windows 7 RC1 (new install on this new computer)

It seems to be the similar symptoms as reported by these users:

    What can I do?

    Thank you all.

    Try to Flash Firmware again.

PS. I want to know how to protect firmware disappear? If can't solve this problem, G.Skill SSD should not be use with important task.
Is it hardware design's problem ?
