  • Trouble with F3-1600C9Q-32GXM

    Gigabyte Z77x-UD5H (BIOS Fully updated)
    32GB G.Skill DDR3 1600
    Intel Core i7 3770K

When I look in CPU-Z under the "Memory" tab, the DRAM Frequency only says 800.8MHz.. shouldn't it say 1600? Also, when I go into the BIOS it seems to only show 1333Mhz. I made sure to enable XMP Profile 1.

I don't know if my RAM is running slower then it should be or I'm simply misreading CPU-Z and the BIOS.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

First with CPU-Z under the Memory tab it will show the TRUE freq you are running, in this case 800 (+/-), you have to keep in mind it's DDR (DOUBLE data rate) so to see what the DRAM is running it's freq (800) x 2 = 1600....might take a look at my info thread here for more on CPU-Z

In the BIOS it should show 1600 as the DRAM freq - it may be showing 1333 as being the mobos default freq - sounds like you are at 1600
