Can i mix 7-8-7-24 and 9-9-9-24 ddr3?

I currently have 2x2gb ddr3 1600 7-8-7-24 ripjaws in dual channel. just bought 2x4gb 9-9-9-24 ddr3 1600 ripjaws (couldnt find a set with the same tomings!). Question is can i mix these and use the full 12gb with a 2gb 7-8-7-24 stick plus a 4gb 9-9-9-24 stick in each channel without problems? I will of course set the tommings for all to 9-9-9-24 in the bios. Mobo is asus p8p67.

Can't hurt to try, would give it a go as you said at 9-9-9-24, if no joy try it with the 4GB sticks in slots 1-3 (from CPU) and the 2x2GB in 2-4
