  • Power Supply Request

    Hello all,

Looking into getting a new power supply.. I would like it to be full modular and around 850. I have chosen 2 separate power supplies here:

    http://secure.newegg.com/WishList/Pu...umber=27641448

However, it shows that the HX is a tier 2 on the eggpert list and the AX is a tier 1. However, the HX has more 8 pin connectors then the AX, has a .8amp on the -12 rail vs a .5am on the AX, etc..

I just want the best power supply I can get. I know this is controversial, so lets not start a war

What I need to know? Which one is better? If you suggest something even better let me know.

    Current Hardware information located HERE

    Kind regards,
    Saxamo

Just me, but I'd go with the newer model the AX850 CMPSU-850AX

I vote for the AX850 too, Seasonic builds it while Channel Well builds the HX850. It's my opinion, from my own experience and a couple hundred forum friends, that Seasonic units are better. I have a HX650, also Seasonic made, and is very sound and solid, good volt output.

      I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that.

The Z77 mobo has been out since late May/or early June....and had (may still have) numerous BIOS problems...we've had a couple folks here that can't get fast, high capacity sticks to go
