Recently Purchased Falcon -> Firmware Up to date?

Just purchased a Falcon 60 GB from newegg and received it last week. Does it have the latest firmware (1571)? How would I check the version number on a Linux machine?

if you just purchased a Falcon, it probably has the latest firmware

to check: download HD Tune (i'm using Pro 3.0) and click on the Info tab. you should be able to check firmware under "Firmware version". don't know about other versions but that's how it works for mine. mine says 1571

Yours most likely is because I purchased mine about a week ago and it's got 1571, but Yeah, HD Tune standard works for checking firmware aswell.
Oops, your on linux, not too sure about that, but I'll let you know if I find out.
