  • F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ + DFI X48-T2R = not stable over DDR2-800?

    Hi... I have the following:

    motherboard: DFI X48-T2R (BIOS: 0725)
    memory: F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ (2 sets = 8GB total)
    cpu: Intel C2Q Q9550

I currently have my system running at 3.4GHZ stable. That's 400fsb x 8.5. The memory divider on the motherboard is set to 333:667 (1:1); timings are 5-5-5-15 @ 2.10v. A couple of changes to the memory settings:
    Enhance Data Transmitting: FAST
    Enhance Addressing: FAST
    T2 Dispatch: DISABLED
Channel 1 CLK Crossing Setting: More Aggressive
Channel 2 CLK Crossing Setting: More Aggressive
CH1CH2 Common CLK Crossing Setting: More Aggressive

My system will run stable (using Prime95 and IntelBurnTest) for hours on end.

But I can't go over that. At first I thought it was the cpu/motherboard, and that I needed to play around with those settings. BUT, if I leave the above settings as is, and just change the memory divider to 333:400 (5:6) to try to run the memory at DDR2-960 speed, I start failing both Prime95 and IntelBurnTest. I left the timings the same (5-5-5-15 @ 2.10v) and changed the other memory settings back to 'AUTO'. Still can't get the pass either test.

If I set everything in the BIOS back to default values (running the fsb at default 333mhz), I can pass both tests running with a memory divider of 333:667 and 333:400 - but not with 333:1066. SO - my question is: "What do I need to do to get my memory stable over DDR2-800????"

    Just guessing but enable T2?
