Having a hard time overclooking well being stable.
Using a ecs Golden Z77H2-AX(1.0) motherboard can get 1800 2100 2400. But crash quick. Don't know if timing is off are my voltage. What are good timing and voltage for this ram

    Oh I have i5 3570 k overcooked 4.5 at 1.30 volts if that helps

There are no set timings/voltages, it will depend on the combo of mobo/cpu and the actual sticks, since stock is 9-9-9-24 at 1866 might start at 10-10-10-26 and then see if those can be tightened any, then step up from there, DRAM would prob be good at 1.5 to 1.53 for 1866, and may need a little extra CPUVTT (Memory controller) voltage.....2133 would need looser timing and more voltages, 2400 ditto....it's really all experimentation....with the Z77 and the 3770K the additional voltages needed are going to raise temps more so than on say a P67/25-2600K....would really be better off with a higher freq set with a low CL...like a 2133/CL9 set because as you raise CL and increase voltages the performance increases will be small...a 1600/CL9 set OCed to 2133 may well take a CL11 or so

So you think 1866 would be better higher mhz with slightly higher clocks. Then say 2100 are 2400 with higher timing?

With some testing I did with 1866 sticks at 1866/9 they did about 24.5 at 2133/10 (same set of sticks) got 25.5 compared to a set of 2133/9 native did 26.5 so you'll show a little gain by the higher freq, but not as good as a native set.....and as I said OCing will take higher voltages resulting in higher temps which can affect the CPU and everything else in the box.....some results of some testing I did can be found here:

Generally speaking for a full time system, I usually don't suggest going more than one step up i.e. if the stairs are 1600, 1866, 2133, 2400, 2666 w/2133 I'd keep it to 2400 or less, with 1600 then 1866 or less, etc.
