Ace- What were your numbers before the update? I'm at 220 MB/sec with firmware v.1370. Upgrading is a pain, so I'll avoid it if the gains are small. Thanks; EZ

just a little less...i do not have it recorded but i remember the graph was just slightly lower.

doing the upgrade was not difficult...just read the instructions over a few times before commencing.

I appreciate the comments, Ace. The major pain in upgrading the firmware is having to reload XP and all my data. Maybe I will, maybe I won't. Do I take from your results compared to mine that the huge difference in speed is from your Raid? Not to impose on you, but explaining how to do that (or pointing me to already-posted info) in non-tech English would be most appreciated....a potential 3x speed increase is nothing to ignore.
