Hi all, new here...
I bought a 64gb Falcon, first thing i did was update the firmeware to the latest version, then installed an image from our ghost cast server (version 7.5) at work to test it and all worked well.
Got home and ran the update again to get a clean start on the drive, once finished I booted off the ghost recovery CD (Version 9) and ran a ghost backup made from my previous SATA disc (40gb Partition off a 250gb Sata hdd), upon rebooting, system posts fine, verifies the DMI pool then gives the error "a disk read error occurred".
So I did a clean install of XP SP3 from my CD and all seams to be fine
Anybody else had problems with installing an image made with ghost v9?
I have made a new image from the clean install but im worried that should i need to use it in future, ill get the same trouble with the new image, and have to do another clean install.
I tried different Sata ports on the mobo and new Sata cable, same error each time?
Motherboard is an Abit IP35 Pro (Sata ports using IDE mode)
CPU is a Q6600@3.6gh (also tried at default settings)
2gb or pc2 8500 ram
1 250gb Sata drive
1 750gb Sata drive
1 IDE DVD/CD-RW
1 IDE DVD-RW
580w Hyper PSU
8800gts 320
8800gts 512
Audigy SB 2 Paltinum
Any ideas?? I have seen post on other sites that suggests SSD's dont like drives partioned via imaging software such as ghost and PQMagic.
