my preference is to the gigabyte motherboard

tho im really seeking systems for overclocking potential

my cpu will be a phenom 9950 black
or may wait it out for a deneb core later





my goal is 3.2ghz with a 1200mhz ram clock

or if possible 3.2ghz (16x200 multi with 1066 @ cl 4,4,4,12 ) i dont plan to volt mem pass 2.3v if possible


ive read where this mem seems to do 1250mhz up

but after failing miserably with my HZ kit which wouldnt even do 1200mhz

my current setup is a 2gb HK kit which works great at low voltages
does 1100+mhz flawlessly and i am very happy with it but 2gb is becoming restricting
in my 4ghz intel allendale setup on dfi with crossfire ati chipset (ATI 580i + sb600)

is currently declocked to run 1000mhz CL4,4,3,5 @ 2.3v because i like how those timings feel vs 5,5,5,15





if you can tell me if their is any 790gx mainboard that will allow me to do this hopfuly the ones ive listed

this set of memory may reach DDR1200, but we don't guarantee this part of overclocking

as for overclocking, we'd prefer DFI 790GX
the overclocking performance of DFI is a little bit better

is it possible that i may be able to run cl4 settings at 1066 by raising voltage? on the phenoms? on any of these boards?

I don't think so.....
even on intel platform, it's still very difficult to get DDR2 1066 CL4 for 2GB*2 modules

well i got ordered the gigabyte mobo because of good reviews on overclocking and i could not find any solid info on dfi's also have not been reading great reviews on most 790gx


system is currently on 2x1gb gskill HK ram

which is not working out and i am currently waiting on the 8800pi's takes 2 weeks to reach jamaica

question will gskill ever make readyboost compatable flash drives or a usb insert for readyboost (plugs directly into usb pins on mobo)

but i doubt it as gskill doesnt make flash mem

i will continue to support you as my fave mem manufacturers and hope gskill gives customer support a nice raise

we only have SSD, and it seemed not neccessary for SSD to add Readyboost function
